The Goal:

Redesign a DSLR interaction model to reduce control confusion and menu hunting by improving layout, hierarchy, and speed of access to key settings.

1

The Challenge:

DSLR controls are dense, settings are nested, and users switch modes under time pressure. Any layout change affects muscle memory, ergonomics, and discoverability. The UI and physical controls need to work as one system, not separate layers.

2

The Result

Proposed a clearer control hierarchy and interaction flow that reduces cognitive load during real shooting scenarios. Produced a portfolio-ready concept that connects HCI thinking with your filmmaking context: speed, clarity, and confidence while capturing moments.
