The Goal:
Build a real-time virtual production system that synchronizes physical set lighting with virtual lighting so directors and DPs can see natural, responsive visuals during green or blue screen shoots.

The Challenge:
1. Getting stable, low-latency lighting response so the physical lights feel “locked” to the virtual scene. 2. Mapping virtual light parameters to real fixtures with consistent calibration across different intensities and color temperatures. 3. Designing the workflow so it stays usable on set, with fast setup, quick iteration, and minimal technical friction.

The Result
Delivered a working prototype and demonstration workflow for real-time lighting sync between virtual environments and physical lights. Validated the concept through public selections and showcases: IndiaHCI 2025 demo/poster selection and Sapienza University of Rome conference selection. A production-time saver by shifting lighting decisions earlier, closer to the shoot.
